So Whats New
In Sandy Estabrooks's Abaco Guide?

February 2012 Saw a significant update to our home page AbacoEscape.com. Although not noticeable to the first time Abaco visitor, a half a dozen restaurants and resorts have been included, mostly in the area of Treasure Cay, Elbow Cay and Marsh Harbour. Places that closed shop have been removed. We also changed the code from Flash to HTML5 on our Bahamian Music Player.
making it suitable for iPhones etc.
AUGUST 2011 we updated our Backgrounnd Music Playlist from Flash to HTML5 allowing it to work with iPhones and iPads. ( and other smart phones & tablets too). Just save this link to your smart phone for
20 full length Bahamian favorites.
June 2011 we added a bunch of new videos to our Video Page and new songs on our Bahamian Music Player.
2011 our 10th Anniversary! and it all started with Motuiti.com which was born (02-Feb-2001) as a Polynesian website and my first attempt at html. Shortly thereafter I decided to put together a webpage on a subject I really knew about, ABACO and which gave rise to motuiti.com/Abacos.html. It grew to a couple dozen pages over the years. The only problem our site needed a name - a quick access name easy to remember.
5 years later AbacoEscape.com was born (28-Jan-2006) and for the next five years it just "pointed" to motuiti.com/Abacos.html. It really didn't exist until April 2011. Now it all files have been moved to a new host and resides under its own name. Google had already recognized AbacoEscape.com, fact is, it is number one in a Google search using common phraseology such as "Abaco Guide".
As part of our 10th Anniversary Update is a complete revamping of our home page. It contains all the latest web code and features. It's text has been abbreviated and updated where needed. In addition to our usual click to enlarge pictures, we've included Slideshows & a Video. Also part of this update is a New Section consisting of eight pages we call Abaco - Off the Beaten Path featuring the settlements and side trip adventures of mainland Abaco that few visitors see. Lastly we've linked up the Bahamas Weekly for an Annual Calendar of Events.

We'd love to hear from you.
